Gideon Holcomb

Partner · buyers and closings

Gideon reads for buyers: the contract, the title commitment, the survey and the closing statement, in that order.

He started in a title company's closing room, watching buyers sign stacks of paper nobody had explained to them. He went to law school to be the person who explains it.

He co-founded the firm with Linus to make that work affordable at a flat fee, and to do it on video so a buyer relocating for a job can close without taking a day off.

How Gideon runs a purchase

Within a day of getting your contract, Gideon sends a one-page summary: every deadline, what each one means for you, and what he still needs to see.

When the title commitment and survey arrive, he reads them against each other and flags anything that touches your use of the property: an easement through the back yard, a shed over the line, a lien the seller has to clear.

Before you sign, you get a video call to go through the closing statement. Most take twenty minutes.
